St. Nicholas Day

St. Nicholas paid a visit to first grade today. St. Nicholas Day celebrates this saint who sold all his possessions and gave his money to the poor. Tradition includes leaving gifts in shoes. Students were surprised to find gold coin candies and fruit in their shoes. Happy St. Nicholas Feast Day!
